Nothing. LANtern doesn't operate any backend of its own, so there's no server for your data to pass through on its way anywhere. The app includes no analytics, no tracking, and no crash-reporting SDKs.
The address of any WatchYourLAN server you add, the optional HTTP Basic Auth credentials and whether you've chosen to trust a self-signed certificate for it, are saved locally on your device so you don't have to re-enter them. That information stays on your device and is only ever sent to the server address you configured.
LANtern asks for the Local Network permission because it connects directly to your WatchYourLAN server over your home network or VPN. It's used solely to reach the address you've provided. Nothing is scanned or accessed beyond that.
Device names, IP and MAC addresses, vendor info, and history shown in the app come from your own WatchYourLAN instance. That data is generated and retained by your server, under whatever configuration you've set there.
LANtern doesn't share data with any third party, because it doesn't collect any to share.

Confirm your phone is on the same network or VPN as your WatchYourLAN server, and that the URL includes the right scheme (http:// or https://) and port. If your server uses a self-signed certificate, enable "Trust Insecure SSL" when adding it.
LANtern only displays what your WatchYourLAN server has already scanned. Check that your server's scan interval has run recently and that its configured interface is picking up your network.
No. LANtern is a client, not a scanner itself. You'll need a running WatchYourLAN instance to connect it to.
